This Week's Journey

The Parkers In Castaway Cay
Fresh off the Disney Wish and honestly? I'm still processing! This was our third Disney cruise, but our first time bringing a child, and wow - everything changes. Tiny Cruiser had the absolute time of her life (mission accomplished!), but let's just say the adults learned some hard truths about Disney cruising with kids. The good, the challenging, and the "why didn't anyone warn us about this?" moments are coming to the blog this week!
π Creator Spotlight: Travel Cake Trips Anniversary CelebrationThis month we're celebrating Cathy & Bryant of Travel Cake Trips - who just hit their one-year YouTube anniversary! Their story is incredible: they had seven videos edited and ready to go but were too scared of negative comments to hit upload. What changed everything? A simple piece of advice from fellow creators: "Block the words you're worried about, and just do it." Their anniversary celebration: First-ever LIVE stream on Saturday, August 9th at 4 PM with giveaways, prizes, and cruise shenanigans! Quick tip from them: Use a travel rewards credit card for everyday purchases like groceries and gas - those points add up to free travel! Read our full interview with Travel Cake Trips: Check out the Blog - including their biggest money mistake, best splurge, and the unexpected Bermuda discovery that changed everything. π° Wallet-Friendly Finds (EXPANDED Disney Edition)

Real money-saving tricks from our Disney Wish experience:
β Coffee Card Punch System - FREE 6th Drink
Get a punch card at any onboard coffee shop. Buy 5 coffees, get the 6th one completely free! Perfect for caffeine addicts who need their daily fix. Since Disney doesn't offer drink packages like other cruise lines, this punch card system is a great way to save.
π· Bring Your Own Booze Strategy - FREE
Here's what Disney ALLOWS that most people don't know: Each person can bring one 750ml bottle of wine OR a 6-pack of beer onboard. Even better? You can pick up additional bottles/packs at port stops (still within regulations). We saved serious money doing this!
π³ DVC & Disney Credit Card Perks
If you're a Disney Vacation Club member or have a Disney credit card, you get onboard purchase discounts. Not a member? The wine packages Disney offers onboard can still be worth it for longer cruises.
πΉ Drink of the Day Special - $7.50
Every day features a different specialty drink for just $7.50 (plus tax and gratuity). This is way cheaper than paying full menu price for cocktails, which can run $12-15+. Ask your bartender what today's special is - it's always something different and always a better deal.
π― Reality Check Savings
Don't buy everything your kid wants in the gift shops on Day 1. Trust us. Wait until the last day and negotiate with your little cruiser. We learned this the expensive way!

We got this amazing response:
From: Wanda

Subject: Re: Your Dream Travel Experience
"My bucket list is Africa, including laying on the beaches in Mombasa, Victoria Falls, a drive-by tour to see the big 3, jumping with the Masai, Capetown, SA and a walk up Table Mountain and of course the Doorway of No Return."
Wanda, this sounds AMAZING! What an incredible journey that would be - from Kenya's beaches to South Africa's mountains, with all that history and wildlife in between. That's the kind of trip that changes you forever.
